The term "fair hearing" is very telling. Science is not determined by a jury. Even if it were, I doubt that the science of evolution would get a fair hearing in a Georgia school. The purpose of education is not to throw every random idea generated in the world at children, some of the least educated among us, and expect them to come up with the best answers. Part of the job of education is to give children the critical thinking skills necessary to recognize non-science when it is being introduced into a classroom. I doubt that this happens nearly enough.
